Terms and Conditions

PROGRAMME AND CLASSES

  • Classes will begin on time (as advertised on the website). If you are going to be late please contact the course tutor in advance to let them know when you think you will arrive. If you arrive more than 30 minutes late without previous contact you may be excluded from the class that day.
  • Classes and workshops will take place at Theatre Delicatessen in Broadgate, Liverpool Street . Other venues around London may be used at various times depending on availability. Please ensure you are familiar and check the location of your specific workshop/ course. We ask that all participants respect the rules and regulations of the premises including vacating at the appropriate time.
  • Use of mobile phones and other electronic equipment is also not permitted unless there is a very serious reason. Please discuss with the tutor in advance if you need to access your phone during the class.
  • We seek to provide a fun, relaxed and mutually supportive atmosphere for students. Any behaviour that we feel damages this atmosphere or the ability of other students to engage fully may result in you being excluded from the course or workshop. If you have an issue with other students or with the class tutor, please email actEnglish with the details and we will do what we can to respond appropriately and discretely.
  • Please let the tutor know if you don’t wish to have photographs or moving images of yourself used in social media or on line. Everyone has the right of privacy here so please check with other participants if you are filming or taking photographs yourself.
  • Where Whatsapp or other communication channels are set up between participants please respect the privacy of other participants and use social media for actEnglish related communication only.
  • If you are working with a scene partner please respect they need you to work on their scene and commit as fully as possible while communicating clearly where you can’t attend classes or need to drop out.
  • If you have signed up to a full programme please let the tutor know of any dates you cannot make in advance of the programme starting where possible.

CANCELLATIONS

  • Cancellations can be made up to 1 week/ 7 days before the class starts with a full refund.
  • We can refund your fee (not including your deposit) up to 24 hours before the class start time. After this time your full fee is non-refundable.
  • The full fee must be paid before the class starts. If a student has not paid by the start of the class the tutor may not allow them to participate.

PERFORMANCE AND FILMING:

  • If you can’t make the final performance evening and have good reason it may be possible for you to attend the next event as alternative. Please prioritise the performance date above all else.
  • The performance evening is only open to those that have completed at least 6 previous sessions or a previous course regardless of payment.
  • Films and reports will be sent out within 2-3 weeks of the event.
